If you need help from Glasgow's Helping Heroes please call us on 0141 488 3652 or send us a message using our contact form.

Our main objectives:

  • Provide a one point of contact Gateway Model, which will improve local access to a range of services including financial, housing and employability advice and capacity for service personnel, veterans, their families and carers.
  • Embed the model into the local provision, giving confidence and sustainability over the longer term.
  • Raise awareness and understanding of issues affecting service personnel, veterans, their families and carers across mainstream financial, housing and employability services in Glasgow.
  • Improve the overall health, well being and social inclusion of service personnel, veterans, their families and carers living in Glasgow.
  • Identify and address gaps in provision for service personnel, veterans, their families and carers.
  • Lobby and campaign for changes in policy and practice where required.

We can help you get advice and information on:

Housing and Homelessness
- Our team can help connect you to the charities, housing associations and organisations that can provide rented accommodation or housing support. Our Housing Advisor can also help you resolve legal issues or find emergency accommodation if homelessness threatens you.

Employability and Training - We will put you in touch with the right organisations or consultants who can help you achieve your education, training or employment goals. We are also always looking for volunteers from the forces community, and this can provide valuable experience for your civilian C.V.

Financial Advice - We can help you manage your financial problems - from organising your debts to getting emergency funding - but we always stress that it is important to deal with these problems as soon as possible, so please get in touch today.

Benefits - Members of the armed forces will often struggle to deal with the - often confusing - paperwork used to access benefits and other financial support. We can help you check your eligibility and access the right funds. People often miss out on key benefits through lack of knowledge or fear of the system - so please get in touch today if you have any questions.

Health - Physical and mental health issues can plague ex-forces members. We will help you understand what support is available, such as accessing priority NHS treatment for issues picked up whilst on duty, as well as helping you find addiction and/or trauma counselling.
