Some of our top tips for school readiness!
Support your child’s independence
One of the best things you can do is make sure they can complete simple tasks themselves like:
Make a start on early literacy and numeracy.
Exploring communication
Have periods in the day where there is no TV/tablet/laptops/radio on. When your child is talking, really listen to how they are communicating, what they are saying and how. Encourage your child to help with daily activities in the home/garden. Praise any communication attempts, don’t worry about words that don’t sound correct, children need reassurance when using vocabulary.
Help your child learn to concentrate
Being able to concentrate for bursts of 10-15 minutes is very important at school. Here are some tips to help with this:

A few weeks before school starts:

Please check your child’s immunisations are up to date including:
✅4-in-1 pre-school booster
✅2 x MMR vaccinations
Let school know if your child has any additional health needs.
