SSAFA quiz and curry fundraiser returns to Mister Singh’s India

25 March 2025

Hosted by presenter Greg Summers, the event on Thursday, April 24 will see teams competing in a quiz between dishes from the famed Glasgow restaurant, all in support of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

As well as fun and some fine cuisine, there will be a talk from members of the team at Glasgow’s Helping Heroes (GHH) – a partnership between SSAFA and Glasgow City Council – on the practical and emotional support the service provides to veterans in the city. The night wraps up with a raffle and silent auction with a range of items up for grabs before the winning quiz team takes its prize.

Scott Cunningham, Senior Challenge and Community Events Officer for SSAFA in Scotland, said: “I always look forward to this event. The quiz brings plenty of laughs and good fun, and the delicious dishes go down a treat. It’s a great night that brings people together in support of the Armed Forces community in Scotland. We often sell out, so I’d encourage quizzers to pick their team names and get registered.

The registration fee is £30 per person, and includes dinner, participation in the quiz and a donation to SSAFA. People can either register their full teams at once or invite team members to join them once they have registered individually. A starter and main course selection is required at the time of registration.

The quiz and curry night begins at 7.30pm on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Mister Singh’s India, 149 Elderslie Street, Glasgow, G3 7JR.
