Supporting British Forces Cyprus (BFC), in the Western Sovereign Base Area of Akrotiri.
Equally well known for its equipment loan store as well as its assistance to the serving community. The Service Committee has undergone a change of membership and is working to re-establish activities going forward. Keep a look out for the beach parties being advertised!
The Akrotiri Service Committee is currently recruiting for the following roles:
Lead the SSAFA presence at your local military base as Chair of the Service Committee.
Provide critical administration skills to the SSAFA team working at your local military base.
Look after the budget and other finances of your local SSAFA Service Committee.
Help raise SSAFA’s profile at your local military base, and in the surrounding community.
Bring together and help manage the different fundraising initiatives for your local Service Committee.
Develop social groups and facilitate community activities within the local serving community.
Help raise funds to support the work of your local Service Committee.
Provide hands-on support in your local area to those who come to SSAFA in need.
Organise and manage the workload and training of all the community volunteers in your area.
